Summer Activities Continue

We’ve come to the end of a very active week in the school with all classes enjoying their Sports Days in the big field behind Scoil Colm. To allow for social distancing, the sport days took part from Monday to Thursday, and everyone had the space to have great fun. Activities included races, egg & spoon, sack races and obstacle courses, parachute, football, rounders, target practice, 10 pin bowling, hoola hoops and lots more. The weather was almost perfect each day, and everyone enjoyed their day.

Classes have also been making trips out to the local parks and to the village, as well as using any outside spaces around the school campus.

The summer art continues, with seasonal themes such as ladybirds, butterflies and gorgeous flowers and blossoms. Some classrooms are also having visitors – the caterpillars are beginning to turn into butterflies!
